Welcome to SSWA

If you are looking for information or want to participate in a NACSW sanctioned ORT or Scent Work Trial, or another of our canine events, you’re in the right place. We offer a warm welcome to our “nosey” friends and friendly noses! As our organization grows, we hope you’ll bear with us through our growing pains. We’ll be house trained in no time at all.

There’s been some talk…

“I just wanted to say THANK YOU!, again, for allowing Edison to participate in Run & Done! I truly am thankful you all were willing to look beyond his disability. We started nosework to give him a job using his nose for good and not evil. I never imagined we’d actually end up wanting to enter a competition and/or that him wearing pants would be a barrier to being allowed to participate. While I’m still on the hunt for a competitive organization which will allow him in, we are quite happy we were at least able to do this one truly fun event. I’ll certainly be on the lookout for future events you all do and always email to confirm we are cleared to participate in pants for that specific event/location.”

“I felt lucky and excited to be in the Inaugural Run & Done. But, I had an ORT the same day, 2½ hours from home. The Run & Done was another 1½ hours from the ORT. Impossible, right?

SSWA made it happen! It was so well organized, I was able to arrive on time and, in less than 90 minutes, check in, walk my dogs,  compete and be on my way.

How cool, to run 2 dogs in 2 cities in 1 day! Southeast Scent Work Alliance is AWESOME!”

“Again, thank you SSWA for a super fun day of searching!!! Awesome hides that made both dog and handler work as a team! This is a super practice event that helps us prepare for both new placement situations and future trials.”
